Orshof is a typical farmhouse of the Kempen, situated on the fringes of the nature reserve Solterheide ( in Belgian Limburg ).
In 1974, Yvo and Iselle Van Orshoven bought the old farmhouse with 4 hectares of agricultural land. They renamed the property to“ Orshof ”. After major restoration of the buildings ( 1980 to 1983 ),
the garden design started. The garden consists of several garden rooms and borders, mostly ordered by colour, adapted to the colours of the interior. Throughout the years, several new buildings were constructed in the same style as the original farm house. Moreover, new gardens were created, and the parking area extended. At this moment in time, the domain takes up 16 hectares, of which 5 hectares are buildings and gardens. The rest is taken up by woods, grazing area and fields.
