Een zeldzame collectie van planten, vogels, zeeleven (koraal) en haar uitzonderlijke natuurlijke schoonheid. Het is één van slechts vier eilandengroepen die tot Werelderfgoed zijn uitgeroepen.

Het eiland is te bereiken door een vliegreis van twee uur vanaf Sydney of Brisbane.
